Technical Information and Modifications for Spectrum Communications Equipment Originally Compiled and HTML'd by Mike Morris WA6ILQ Formerly Maintained by Robert Meister WA1MIK Currently Maintained by Mike Morris WA6ILQ I know nothing about this equipment so please don't ask! |
The last known address and phone for Spectrum was:
Spectrum Communications Corp.
1055 W. Germantown Pike
Norristown PA. 19403-3924
Phone: 610-631-1710

They seem to be out of business.
This web page may be the only collection of Spectrum information on the web.
Donations of information, especially PDFs of manuals that we don't have would be greatly appreciated.
Closeup photos of the circuit boards would be useful as well.

PDF file courtesy of W9FS This is a 10w continuous duty unit. The manual is dated 12/1991. |
|
SCT1500 service manual 1.6 MB
PDF file courtesy of W9FS This manual has a spec sheet internally for the 136-174 MHz, 406-512 MHz, and 806-960 MHz digital / analog paging transmitter, but seems to be for the 900 MHz unit only. It also mentions the SCP30 power supply and the SCA1000 power amplifier. Supposedly the SCT-1500 is a 100w continuous duty unit. The manual itself is undated, but some of the prints have 1993 dates on them. |

They always say "necessity is the mother of invention." Jim Lawrence WB5HVH wanted
a decent SCR1000 manual to work on his repeater, so he took the various pieces above,
scanned and cleaned the pages, converted them to real text, and made a brand new, much
more useful PDF file, which we present below.
