The 7330 has a separate DE-9 connector for each radio port, and a DB-25 for signals common to the entire controller. The two serial ports are wired differently: Serial Port #1 is wired as DTE; #2 is wired as DCE. For more details, Google "DCE and DTE". You can run a plain 3-wire extension cord from your computer's DE-9 serial port and serial port #2, all you need is pins 2, 3 and 5.

Table notes:
1) When Serial connection #2 is configured as the Console, you can connect it to a 9-pin serial port on a PC using a 9-pin serial straight-through cable (a DE-9 extension cord).
2) Pin 8 of each radio port can be either a CTCSS encoder or a logic level to control the factory encoder in the transmitter. The selection is controlled by a jumper on each port - J37 (port 1), J38 (port 2) and J39 (port 3). The factory default is that the CTCSS encoder audio is connected.
