Many of the lists / groups / forums (pick a name) listed below started originally on the Onelist.com email server.
Onelist merged with eGroups and become eGroups.com
eGroups was bought out by Yahoo! and became YahooGroups.com
Fast forward a few years and Yahoo lost interest in the Yahoo Groups and it showed. Things broke and were not repaired.
Some former YahooGroups employees formed Groups.io and offered an automated move system...
over a 6 month period a large number of YahooGroups groups transited to groups.io.
Many groups did not move and evaporated. One was Ritron@yahoogroups.com for Ritron brand radios. Another was Aerotron.
