enhanced tone squelch board Research by Jeff Kincaid W6JK HTML'd by Mike Morris WA6ILQ |
This board offers tone decode as well as tone encode. On these radios the original push-in / push-out backlight switch on the top of the radio becomes a "PL Disable" switch (in for carrier squelch, out for PL). On the side of the stock radio there is a "Shift" button, and a double PTT button. The enhanced PL board commandeers the upper PTT button to run the backlight. So now from top to bottom you have Shift, Backlight, and PTT on the side where previously it was Shift, PTT, and more PTT.
The data for this table was developed by setting each tone number into the radio and reading the encoded tone using another radio. Decode was tested the same way.
