Vega Electronics was founded by Robert Langevin in 1960. Computer Equipment Corporation (also known as Cetec) acquired the company (year?), and Cetec-Vega was later acquired by Telex (year?), and
that was acquired by a division of Bosch (year?). Vega's original products were wireless microphones and various LMR products including a line of general purpose tone decoder and encoder modules.
Does anyone have any additional Vega manuals we can scan and return? Especially for the general purpose tone decoder and encoder modules.

Dated May 1979. While most modern tone encoders have a DIP switch to select specific tones this one has a 15-turn trimpot (or 10, or 20, depending on the production run), and the circuit is easily duplicated on a perfboard. Cetec-Vega no longer makes it (in fact, Cetec-Vega is no more), so build one and have fun! |
