This article explains how to properly convert a Micor high-band receiver to two meters.

Why are we offering replica preselector castings?

Description of Replica Coils placed into Micor front-end castings:
We can install replica 132 - 150.8 resonator coils into your casting and return it to you for US$75.00.   Just send the preselector casting and a Bank Cashiers Check or US Money Order for US$75.00 and we will recoil the preselector with replica 132 - 150.8 megahertz coils and return it to you.   Please allow three to four weeks from the time you send us the casting until you receive it back from us. This allows a week each way in shipping and a week here in the shop for modification.

Re-coiling of your preselector casting with fabricated coils
is done by sending just the casting with original coils intact and a money order for US$75.00.
We will recoil your preselector with replica 132 - 150.8 resonator coils and return it to you.
Please allow three to four weeks from the time you send me the casting until you receive it back from us.
This allows a week each way in shipping and a week here in the shop for modification.
USPS Priority is the normal method of US shipping however UPS delivery is available for $5 more or $80.00
We supply the UPS tracking number so you know where your shipment is.

**  No junk please, send the factory original casting with unmodified coils and bottom cover intact for conversion.
**  The 12 screws that hold the casting to the receiver circuit board DO NOT need to be sent.

Complete receiver conversions available:
We offer complete receiver conversion for either the 150.8-162 or 162-174 MHz Micor high-band receiver to 2 meter ham band (142 - 150.8 MHz.)
We can modify your high-band receiver RF - I-F board to properly tune the 2 meter ham band.   Conversion includes changing all necessary parts on the circuit board itself and helical resonator modification as suggested above.  The modification insures that a High-Side injection crystal will properly work throughout the local oscillator chain as intended by the factory for the 142 - 150.8 split receivers.

Complete Receiver Conversion with replica preselector coils, US$100.00 prepayment with receiver.
